2010 and counting

I captured this image in 2010, drawn by the dance of light and shadows cast by the panels window across the castle floor. I tried to hold on to  it, to keep it for myself,  but the light slipped away, shifting constantly, bouncing off the walls, the ceiling, and every element within that ancient this room.

I keep chasing the light, constantly. The chase doesn’t stop. Sometimes I feel like I am chasing a fairy, the Light Fairy, hoping to catch it or at least to slow her down long enough to hear the  stories she carries, stories about interesting places, intriguing characters, and exciting adventures she has lived on her travels from distant and exotic lands. On rare occasions I manage  to catch up and listen to what she says,  but more often her stories  puzzles me, leaving me with more questions than the answers I was hoping to get.  She speaks to me in riddles that compel me to look inward, searching  for meaning within myself.

This ephemeral,  playful interaction with the Light Fairy has led me to discover places in me I am now kin to explore. It has reshaped the way I see the world, both inside and around me, encouraging a more personal and curious way of gazing at life.

Now 5475 days later, the chase continues, through this website I share with you some of  the stories gathered along my journey chasing the Light Fairy.
